Antony Starr's rough and rugged new look on Banshee

Antony Starr sports an epic beard in the fourth and ultimate season of Banshee.

We've noticed him play a rough and able bogan and his dodgy legal professional twin in Outrageous Fortune, and a distraught dad who loses his daughter within the film After the Waterfall.

But Antony Starr is sporting a new look on the newest season of Banshee that makes him appear totally unrecognizable.

The Kiwi actor has a leading position within the fourth and ultimate season of the SoHo display, however he confirmed up within the first few episodes with long hair, an enormous beard and scruffy clothes.

It's a long way from the clean-cut look he sported in the first 3 seasons, by which he performed a crook pretending to be cop Lucas Hood in the small American town of Banshee.

He sported a nice blue uniform, badge, gun and short hair as he took on the town's legal components through a series of violent confrontations.

But in the newest season, Starr's Hood has long past AWOL, quitting his pretend task and moving into an off-the-grid shack close to a woodland. He's coaxed back to the town to lend a hand solve a chain of murders, and in finding his missing pal, Job.

Starr informed the Herald he requested for the show's motion to be toned down within the fourth season after the first three seasons left him feeling burnt out.

"I didn't have to do much action, which I asked for. I have a tendency to go, 'She'll be right', with that Kiwi attitude, but at the end of season three I was like, 'Ooh, she's not right'. It's just the attrition rate of being ground out, year-in, year-out."

Hood's new look is not everlasting, alternatively, with Starr confirming to the Herald his bushy look came courtesy of the show's make-up department. By episode 3, the lengthy beard and locks are gone.

And the show, identified for its brutality, hasn't totally minimize Starr out of the motion: in one fresh episode, Hood minimize a man's hand in part with a scythe.
