Alison Marshall, 63, dies two weeks after being brutally beaten with a hammer by her 21-year-old son

A mom has died two weeks after her hammer-wielding son attacked her and her husband inside of their California home.

Alison Marshall, 63, succumbed to her injuries on Friday at a medical institution in Thousand Oaks, California, as her son, Scott Goldberg, 21, now faces a murder price.

Goldberg allegedly assaulted his oldsters with a fatal weapon on November 19 at their circle of relatives house in Mayfield Court, Thousand Oaks.

Marshall suffered life-threatening accidents and was once pronounced dead later at a medical institution. 

The suspect's 64-year-old father, who has no longer been identified, survived the assault.

Goldberg, to start with charged with attempted murder, is now going through the worse price of murder, according to Erin Meister, a supervising senior deputy DA who spoke to VC Star.

The alleged attack last month left Marshall with 'life-threatening injuries', authorities stated

Deputies from the Thousand Oaks police station spoke back to a name of battery around 11pm on November 19. 

When police rushed to the scene at the in Mayfield Court, they found a man and a girl, both in their 60s, have been attacked with a hammer.

Marshall used to be discovered 'suffering from important and life-threatening accidents' and used to be despatched to Los Robles Reginal Medical Center for 'advanced clinical remedy', authorities mentioned. 

Police at the beginning mentioned two sufferers had been known to the suspect, later confirming that they're his folks.

As the results of Marshall's loss of life, the District Attorney's Office is making arrangements to shift the case to the more severe fee of murder, authorities mentioned. 

Goldberg used to be booked and held in county prison with a $510,000 bail. But a judge granted the prosecution's request to deny bail of any quantity ultimate week, which bars him from being released earlier than trial.
